
Green Powered Technology (GPTech) is pleased to announce that Thomas (Tom) Mullen has joined our team as Chief of Party in support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Solomon Islands Strengthening Competitiveness, Agriculture, Livelihoods and Environment (SCALE) – Architecture and Engineering Support (SCALE-A&E) Activity.
Tom brings over 30 years of experience successfully directing the implementation of infrastructure, water resource, and environmental projects for private companies, municipal governments, and development agencies, including USAID, The United Nations, The World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, The UK Department for International Development, and North American Development Bank.
Before joining GPTech, he worked as an independent consultant to provide input for USAID funded programs. This involved preparing environmental, health and safety documents for an $80 million program in Nigeria and streamlining engineering management systems and environmental compliance reporting for a USAID funded program in Cameroon. Prior to his independent consulting work, Tom managed a program at IMC Worldwide program was to construct thousands of schools in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces.
He has contributed to multiple publications, including Forbes, Telegraph newspaper, World Water Magazine, International Groundwater Technology Magazine, Columbia Magazine, International Living Magazine, and Malibu Magazine. He holds an MBA University of Durham, United Kingdom and an MSc Civil Engineering, University of Newcastle-On-Tyne, United Kingdom. He received his BSc Architectural Engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder.
