
Green Powered Technology (GPTech) is pleased to announce that Matthew (Matt) Sisul has joined our leadership team as Senior Manager of Sustainable Infrastructure. Matt will maintain the technical and strategic leadership of GPTech’s Sustainable Infrastructure practice.
Matt brings 15 years’ experience in civil and structural engineering projects in the United States and internationally. He specializes in international development engineering topics including strategic planning, site planning, infrastructure planning, seismic design and retrofit, vernacular design, construction risk, and construction quality assurance. He has served as lead engineer for numerous projects for the United States Agency for International Development and the Red Cross, particularly for engineering projects in Haiti. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and President Emeritus of the New York City Professional Chapter of Engineers without Borders.
Prior to joining GPTech, Matt was Senior Associate in the New York office of Marx|Okubo. He served as the office’s structural engineer, responsible for physical condition assessments, construction risk analysis, pre-construction plan review, and construction loan monitoring, and in an owner’s representative role for the company.
Matt holds a Master’s degree in individualized study, concentrating in International Development and Infrastructure Service Delivery from New York University, Gallatin School of Individualized Study in New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Columbia University in New York. Additionally, Matt is an adjunct assistant professor of civil engineering at Columbia University.
