Green Powered Technology (GPTech) has been awarded a five-year follow-on contract to support the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) Global Procurement Initiative (GPI). Under the GPI, USTDA partners with countries around the world to promote more effective public procurement, particularly the adoption of Best Value and Life Cycle Cost Analysis procurement techniques.
GPTech began its support of the GPI in 2014. Since then, GPTech has trained mid- and senior-level government officials in emerging economies to use Best Value determination and Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) to ensure that they extract the maximum value from public investments and that public procurement is conducted transparently, fairly and efficiently. GPTech has trained officials from the following countries: Vietnam, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, India, Jordan, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Romania.
GPTech’s President and CEO, Phillip Green, stated, “We are very excited to continue supporting the Global Procurement Initiative for an additional five years. Through our previous work with the USTDA GPI, we have witnessed how transparent and effective public procurement is essential for sustainable development. GPTech looks forward to continuing to promote accountable and transparent government operations around the world.”
